Finally, you can't blame anyone but the Dems. Maybe that's why we've always had a GOP Gov, so you can have someone to blame?

Re: Connecticut’s next Lieutenant governor: Kevin Lembo or Mike Jarjura

Lembo's not bad, but you had better believe Malloy and Lamont will both steer clear of Jarjura. He won't be on the primary ballot in August, and he won't be the next Lieutenant Governor. My prediction: Malloy-Lembo beats Lamont-Nappier in August.

Re: CT 2010 A DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR FOR CONNECTICUT

Where's Ned Lamont on you candidate list? and My Left Nutmeg among your blogs?

Re: CT 2010 A DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR FOR CONNECTICUT

It's certainly good to see an organized event to present a viable alternative to Gov. iRellevance.

But I'm a realist. Do you actually think that think any of the three potential Democratic candidates for governor you list have enough to offer the people of Connecticut to overcome the public's irrational, but quite real and strong, affection for Gov. Rell? Can they put forward innovative, creative, daring proposals that truly challenge the status quos? Do they have proven records of sincere commitment to helping those most in need, with: health care, education, jobs, child care, and housing? Are they inspirational? Are they visionary leaders? Would they ever put the "good of the public" ahead of the "good for my re-election"?

I see three people who want to become governor. I have no idea why (beyond ambition and electability). And I don't see any of them inspiring democratic values or Democratic voters.

A Democratic Governor for Connecticut? It's possible.

A Democratic Governor who will be markedly different than a Republican Governor? Less possible.

It would be great to see your organization identify and promote a NEW generation of Democratic leaders and candidates. But stay away from all these usual suspects! Who is running the most successful non-profits and foundations? Are there successful liberal business owners out there? Who can (because he or she HAS before) excite a crowd? Do we have serious-minded, liberal celebrities who could be convinced to run?

It's not enough to stand AGAINST Rell to get out the vote. You have to stand FOR something distinct and progressive and exciting. THAT’S the challenge -- in 2010 and beyond.

Re: WORK IN PROGRESS

this is a test of the new system....

Re: WORK IN PROGRESS

testing again

Re: WORK IN PROGRESS

testing comment

Re: Under Construction

I am a threaded comment

Re: Under Construction

Under construction

Re: Test Post Header

test the third

Re: Test Post Header

test the second

Re: Test Post Header

test the first
